Oaxacan Firing Squad - this drink came from my favorite cocktail book Around the World Jigger, Beaker, And Glass written by Charles H. Baker Jr. In his book tucked away right in the center is one of the only tequila cocktails he thought worthy of writing about and it happens to be one of my favorite tequila drinks. The Mexican Firing Squad as CHB writes is "a creation we almost became wrecked upon in- of al spots- La cucuracha Bar in Mexico City in 1937". The drink is basic but delicious, to put it frankly its a tequila ricky with grenadine and angostura. At Heavens Dog we wanted to do a modern take on this great drink.
