Dosa is one of the world’s great culinary delicacies. Similar to a crepe, it is made from rice & lentils (no wheat) and served with a variety of fillings that will offer you the most authentic and tantalizing flavors of South India. Of course, DOSA is not just about dosas but about offerring the broad selection of South Indian fare to San Francisco diners using fresh ingredients that are primarily local, organic, natural and sustainable. You haven't really had truly authentic Indian food till you've dined at DOSA. DOSA, San Francisco's first South Indian Restaurant, has opened a second location in the City's burgeoning Fillmore district. The new eco-friendly restaurant can not only accommodate more guests, but showcases the urban Indian dining experience at its best through a comprehensive wine and spice-infused cocktail program.
La Vida Loca - I was inspired by the refined and elegant flavor of Casa Noble Blanco, and the combination of rich floral blue curls honey with fresh tangy local kumquats. I wanted to create a drink that really showcased all of the floral and citric flavors of springtime in San Francisco.
Recipe: 2 oz. Casa Noble Cristal, 3/4 oz Kumquat-Honey Marmalade, 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice, 1/4 oz. pulikor blossom (elderflower liqueur), 1 bar spoon gran classico.
